Sushi, designed by Amanda Berry, is based on a kitten who was born at Battersea with an underdeveloped brain (cerebellar hypoplasia) and it was touch-and-go whether she was well enough for rehoming. Thankfully she pulled through and a proud foster carer who hand-reared Sushi and her sibling, was there to give her to her new mum Sarah. Sarah is well known to the Home and also has two cats – one of whom has special needs – and a docile border collie.
