The Swain Hat is a classic beanie designed to showcase intricate medallion cables and a deep ribbed brim. Choose a size approximately 1-3” smaller than your actual head circumference. This unisex hat is worked in one piece in the round from the brim upward.
Please note:
» the brim can be knit shorter or taller as desired; and
» you’ll need additional yardage (25-45 yards) for the optional pom-pom.

US 3 (3.25 mm): 16" / 40 cm circular for optional tubular CO
US 4 (3.5 mm): 16" / 40 cm circular for ribbing
US 5 (3.75 mm): 16" / 40 cm circular, or size needed to obtain gauges
