A seamless baby cardigan, worked from the neck down. Two lacy hearts adorn the pockets. A surprise heart can be found at the nape of the neck.

Materials
275, (300, 330, 400, 500)—yards of fingering weight yarn. We used Brown Sheep Cotton Fine (222 yds/50G ball, 100% Cotton), color: Nymph
- US size 1 (2.25mm) and 2 (2.75mm)- 24” circular
- US size 1 (2.25mm) double points
- stitch markers, 4 in one color and 2 in another
- scrap yarn
- 4 buttons, each ½” diameter
Gauge
32 sts, 42 rows= 4” in st st on US size 2 (2.75mm) needles.
30 sts, 48 rows = 4” in garter stitch on US size 1 (2.25mm) needles. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
The sample was made with Brown Sheep Cotton Fine. A suggested substitute yarn is shown below.
