This heart themed baby blanket is knit using garter stitch borders, with a stocking stitch background and moss/seed stitch for the heart motifs. The heart motifs stand out well on the stocking stitch background, which is referred to as the right side, although the blanket is reversible!
The pattern is written in English.
Size - Width: 78cm/30½in. Length: 108cm/42½in. Materials - 100% cotton or cotton mix Aran/ Worsted weight yarn. The pictured blanket was made using Paintbox Yarns Cotton Aran. Yarn amounts - 540g (11 50g/1.7oz balls), 918m/1005yds. Note: Yarn amounts given are based on average requirements and are approximate. Notions - 4.5mm (UK 7) / US 7 circular needle, to accommodate all the stitches, 80cm/32in long, Stitch markers, Tapestry needle to sew/weave in yarn ends. Tension/Gauge - 18 stitches and 24 rows to 10cm/4in using 4.5mm/US 7 needles, measured over stocking stitch.
