A little texture and a little lace. With textured purl stitches that undulates above lacy diamonds. All of the stitches are basic, making this a good pattern for those with some sock knitting experience wanting to dip their toe in ( pun intended) the lace knitting waters as well as those that have already dipped. I would also recommend this to the advanced beginner who has made a pair or two of socks. Any fingering/sock weight yarn that gives you the appropriate gauge can be used. A variety of yarns were used for the test knitting with wonderful results.
