Teardrop Dream Bag

This enchanting bag is worked with a wide seed stitch border, center garter stitches, and eyelets to offset both. The design has a natural shape lending to its teardrop form. Make an i-cord or use a favorite ribbon for the drawstring. This accessory is perfect to carry essentials for any occasion -- a wedding, dining out, or a visit to your favorite spot. You can also use it as a decorative bag to hold soaps and potpourri. Leave it unlined or line it with a pre-hemmed handkerchief, pocket square, or other cloth. Consider an embroidered lining or one with monogrammed initials.

A set of straight and a pair of double-pointed needles are used (U.S. no. 6).

75-90 yards, 100% superwash wool yarn, worsted​ ​weight, is suggested. Other yarn types are suitable.

Finished measurement is 15 inches from cast on to fasten off points; 14 inches at widest point when measured along the curved fold; and 28-inch length for i-cord drawstring.
