The coach cowl

A cowl suitable for making on a coach journey! I designed this for a KAL on the coach trip we are making to Wonderwool Wales - hence the name! This can be made in any weight of yarn, the samples were in bulky yarn and 4 ply yarn, but all you need to do is change the number of stitches to suit your yarn and the size you want. The pattern is written for bulky weight yarn and uses 3 balls of Mirasol Sulky. My 4 ply version used about 80g of yarn. In the pattern, I have suggested some yarn quantities, needle sizes and cast on stitches for 4 ply and double knit, but bear in mind that I like my cowls snug – you may wish to cast on more stitches. Finished size approx. 60cm (24”) around by 27½cm (11”) deep.
