The Dragon's Tale can be a simple scarf, or a fierce protector of the neck.
It can be worked as a long, narrow crescent, or slightly deeper, or even adapted to a rectangle with a lovely wavy border along the bottom.
Or for the true dragon fans, add the head and tail sections to create your own pet dragon that will snuggle warmly round your neck and peer imperiously at strangers, or flick its tail in warning if someone gets too close..
The design uses minimal lacework - each row has a single increase and decrease in each row of the border, creating the rippling, sinuous edge.
It uses a very simple integrated I cord edge.
The Dragon's Head is shaped mostly with cables, and is included in the pattern in its own PDF. Please be sure to also download this page if intending to create a head-to-tail dragon, rather than simply a dragon scaled scarf.
Written and charted.
Length and width are adaptable.
