The Gnomies are knitted flat from boots, legs, body and head. The arms are knitted separately and attached. Also included in this pattern are simple outfits including hat, dungarees and smock dress.
You can use any yarn you have in your stash but it is important to keep yarn weights constant throughout. For double knit I have used 2.5mm needles and the Gnomie measures approximately 8 inches/20cm. For the outfits I used double knit and 3.5mm needles. If you prefer to use Aran weight I would suggest 3.5mm needles, your finished Gnomie will be a little bigger.
