In the summer of 2012 I went with my mom and my kid to a yarn store. Of all the yarns that I saw and wanted to buy I finally picked up a single skein of fingering weight yarn named Heritage by Cascade Yarns. I had no idea what I would use the yarn for, I just liked the colors. Over the years I have created patterns for knitted owls, and made one of each owl pattern from this one skein of yarn.
In the end I have made 8 owls, and there is still some yarn left.

Ollie, the owlet: Approximately 3.5” (9 cm) tall.
Helga: Approximately 4.5” (11.5 cm) tall.
Otto: Approximately 4” (10 cm) tall.
