What’s this: This is the Three of Hearts hat.

Why should I make this: This pattern uses the infinity crochet technique developed by Briana K, as well as decorative cross-stitching, to create a beautiful winter hat. A closed, pompom hat & a messy bun option are both included. Diagrams for cables & cross-stitching inside.

When will this get the most use: All through the cold season.

Who is it for: Offered in 3 sizes, child to adult.

Where do I start: This pattern is rated Intermediate - you’ll need to know or be eager to learn the basic crochet stitches, cross-stitching, and infinity cables. You will need 115g of worsted weight yarn (used here, Julie Asselin Leizu Worsted), 5m of each of 3 colours of embroidery thread, a pompom & a 4.5 mm hook. Other notions: a yarn needle, and some stitch markers.
