Using soft, fine mohair, the Tracery shawl begins with the lace border from which the stitches are picked up for the centre section of the shawl. The centre triangle is knitted from the border towards the neck, which means that the rows diminish in length as you knit on, leaving you with only a few stitches to graft together when the shawl is completed. The Lace stitch pattern is both written out row by row and charted for your convenience.
Skills required - knit, purl, lace knitting, simple decreases and increases, picking up stitches and finishing.
