Trilost is a wide, warm and asymmetric shawl which plays with textures and contrasts to offer you a versatile garment. The wrap is first worked as a top-down triangle, before the two halves are divided and knitted separately, avoiding interminable shawl rows. Simple lace sections alternate with two-colored garter stripes, keeping you interested along the work, and a picot hem bind off nicely finishes the edges.
Instructions for the lace sections are charted as well as written out. Special techniques used are explained in the pattern with photo tutorials.
Yarn:
MC (dark grey): approx. 400 m (437 yards)
CC1 (light grey): approx. 360 m (395 yards)
CC2 (violet): approx. 400 m (437 yards)
(The pattern includes tips to adjust the design if you have a little less yarn than required.)
Gauge:(after blocking) In garter stitch: 22 sts x 44 rows in 10 cm (4”) In lace pattern: 22 sts x 34 rows in 10 cm (4”)
