Turkey Duo - Placemat/Trivet and Magnet/Applique

Here are two adorable turkeys to crochet for your Thanksgiving table or kitchen, or to give as a hostess gift. They work up quickly, are fun to make, and don't require much yarn, so you'll have plenty of time before Thanksgiving to complete them both.

The PDF has instructions for both the placemat/trivet/decoration, and the magnet/applique. The placemat/trivet works up about 11.5" across by 9.5" tall (not including the feet) and the magnet/applique is about 4.75" across by 4.5" tall, depending on your gauge, which is not important for these projects.

Listed as intermediate skill, but suitable for an advanced beginner who has some familiarity with crochet terms and methods.  I think the instructions are clear and will be easily understood, especially with reference to the photos of the finished turkeys.

Great stash buster! Less than 1 skein ea. of 4 colors (rusty red, gold, sage green,brown) plus a tiny amount of black. Cotton Worsted. I used leftover Bernat Handcrafter and Sugar N' Cream.
