Twist hat (for knitting left-handed)

The instructions in this pattern are written for knitters who knit left-handed, that is, when they knit the stitches move from the right to left needle as they knit.

If you are a left-handed knitter who knits right-handed, that is your stitches move from the left to right needle, they you should purchase the standard pattern.

Twist is a cosy “paper-bag” style hat with cute pompoms. It is knitted in a chunky yarn that shows the texture of the twisted stitches beautifully. It is worked in the round with mock side seams, which avoid a jog in the stitch pattern. These ‘seams’ flow up from the rick-rack rib, through the Vikkel braid to the woven stitch pattern. The hat is finished with a special cast-off that mimics the ‘seams’.
