The Urban Forest Hat is a unisex design that features an unusual cable pattern and flatters the whole family. It is worked in the round for easy finishing and knits up quickly in worsted weight yarn.
Cable pattern is Charted only.
The child's size will fit up to a 20 inch circumference and the adult size will fit any head over 20 inches. Any worsted weight wool yarn would work well with this pattern. Please note - this is a tighter gauge than normal for worsted weight yarn - your ball band should say 18 stitches to 4 inches over stocking stitch
The child's size requires approximately 130m. The adult size requires approximately 170m. Gauge: 21 sts in 4" over stocking stitch, using the larger needle, unblocked. 32 sts in 4" over cable pattern, using the larger needle, unblocked.
