Alternating bands of garter and zig zag mesh really show off your yarn in this, oh so, on trend accessory. This shawl is knit from the bottom up with triangular increases for the garter sections and straight decreases for the mesh bands. The different type of increases add oomph to this not so standard shawl.
Yarn: Approx 550 yards of DK weight yarn. Sample shown in Western Sky Knits Willow DK, C1, Gumball Sprinkle, C2, Jasmine, 100% Superwash Merino.
Dimensions: (AFTER BLOCKING) 60 inch wingspan, 26 inch depth (not including tassels).
Needles: US size 7.

Gauge: 28 stitches by 32 rows is 4 inches in garter on US size 5 needles.
