Confident Beginner
It won't slip off the shoulders since it slips over the head - Wear it around the house, running errands, or on a cool evening walk. Makes a perfect hospital gift, giving the patient a ‘dressed up’ appearance, and still leaves arms free for IV tubes.
Large gauge loom, min: 40 pegs, creates an 18" garment – or use more pegs, if you’d like your poncho longer. Yarn: 416 (832) yards (x2 = doubled, worsted yarn). Used 2, 4oz balls & 2, 6oz balls of complementary coloured yarn....4 balls in total. Stitches: Crochet cast on, knit, purl & e-wrap stitches. Crochet chain and whip stitch used to finish garment. 6.5mm crochet hook needed.
Pattern has a 10 row repeat and is knit flat. Each panel = 2.75” across, 20 panels are shown, size: Large. Work as many repeats as necessary to gain the circumference needed. Therefore, one size can truly fit anyone!
