This pattern is your go to for a quick gift for a friend or the perfect basic cowl to show off your new hand dyed yarn purchase or even a starting point for making your very first cowl. But why stop there? Try out the spiced version with crossed stitches swirling around your wrists. Vanilla & Spice Cowl is as much a dependable basic as its is an absolutel treat for your needles and your wardrobe.

Pattern contains:  2 cowl patterns, one plain (Vanilla Cowl) and one with Crossed Stitches (Spiced Cowl)  Schematics for both patterns, in both yarns

Sizes: approx Child (Adult). Shown in Adult size (patterned yarn) and Child (Mint green yarn).

Two yarns are recommended:  West Yorkshire Spinners, BFL DK Solids,  Tension: 19 sts by 25 rnds per 10cm / 4” in stst in the round  2 balls  OR  The Wool Kitchen, DK 100% Merino, colourway ‘Champagne Supernova’,  Tension: 19.5 sts by 28 rnds per 10cm / 4” in stst in the round  1 skein
