Subtle textures of this cozy pair were inspired by the intricate marble and granite stonework of Venice. The way light and shadow are used as a part of rich decorations of Venetian architecture is applied to the mittens design, adding depth and dimension to the intertwined stitches and nupps.
The pattern is pretty straightforward to work, as it only involves two decorative stitches married in a modern design. The ribbed fabric used for all parts of the mittens together with the ergonomic palm and thumb shaping guarantee a comfortable and snug fit. The top cuff can be worn two ways - folded down or unfolded - depending on the coziness level desired. Written instructions, charts and a video tutorial for nupps are provided.
