I have the most wonderful poncho in my wardrobe and decided to knit a version myself.
This simple project is great for all ages and sizes. The poncho can be worn as an outer garment or as an alternative for a jumper. I have knitted it in two colours but it can equally well be knitted in a plain coloured yarn. The whole garment is knitted in one piece and the spaces in the mock cable are used as buttonholes, so what could be easier.It is easy to wear in the spring and autumn as an outer layer and in the winter instead of a jumper and the only decision is which of the gaps to put your head through.
