These socks have a simple all-over ribbing pattern with a lovely cable pattern at one side which is inspred by Norah Gaughan. The sole is knitted in stockinette stitch. The heel described in this pattern is created by short rows and toe by decrease rounds which are my preferred techniques for socks. The pattern is not involved into the heel and toe so that it can be adapted to your preferred heel and toe technique, but take care to apply the pattern if whole rounds are worked around in heel construction.

Pattern is given for EU sizes 39-47.

Yarn 1 skein Highland Sock by Mme Benoir (100% Wool; 400meters (437 yards) per 100g. Sample knitted in size EU39 with color smoke.

Needle / hook 2,5mm (US 2) double pointed needles - or needle size you get required gauge. If desired, you can knit with magic loop technique but the principle is not described in this pattern.
