It’s something simple with a hint of retro about this hat! I love the Westie pattern. Where ever they show up they make everyone cheerful.
The hat is knitted bottom up and gets a firm fabric by using slightly smaller needles that recommended for DK weight yarn. Knit one for yourself and as gifts. Happy knitting!

Errata: In an early version of the pattern the chart has 23 stitches, the correct number is 24 stitches. The chart is repeated 6 times; Knit 1 st main colour before starting the chart x6.
