Wheely hat is knit in the round from crown to band in one piece.
The use of single purl stitch columns on the body of the hat creates a spoked look, reminding me of the bicycle wheels I see on my daily walks around the neighbourhood. The short textured band immediately above the ribbed band imitates the texture of the bicycle tyre.
