Widden is a wide, relaxed-fitting top featuring mock cable trims and aesthetic seams. It is made sideways, flat and in pieces, while the trims are worked in the round. This project will suit a variety of yarn types or weights. It is designed to be loose gauge, ideally using larger size needles.
*Note: The samples shown in this pattern use light fingering weight yarns held double-stranded. *

This top can also be worked using single strands of Worsted weight yarns. To achieve this, simply halve the yarn amounts given in the Yarn Quantity above, but add an extra 20%, as some yarns can vary in thickness.
Fitting: This top is designed to be worn oversized, with an ease of 19” (48cm) around the bust and high hip area, and to sit at high hip.
