This pattern can be made as a square or a runner of the length you desire. The one pictured is 16 1/2" X 60".
Moving out from the square, each "layer" adds approximately 5".
This doesn't contain any what I call complicated stitches, but gets it's texture by simply placing the stitches as directed.
I set it as intermediate, but would like to encourage everyone to try it.

- Center took 260 yds size 10 thread. You will need an additional 190 yds each set of layers added. Mine is 60" long & took 1,326 yds.
