This hat pattern is featured in a book of patterns titled Antarctica Knitters.
Hat is worked flat for cable, then stitches picked up for both top and brim.
Yarn: Worsted wt. suggested. Sample uses Plymouth Select Worsted Merino Superwash, 1 Skein, 100 gr/218 yds,
Gauge: 22 sts = 4” in stockinette stitch.
Needles: 16” circular and 1 set double pointed in US4 - 6 depending on gauge.
Notes: CBL8-b: slide next 4 sts to cable needle and hold to the back, K4, knit 4 sts from cable needle. CBL8-f: slide next 4 sts to cable needle and hold to the front, K4, knit 4 sts from cable needle. CBL4/2-f: slide next 4 sts to cable needle and hold to the front, K2, knit 4 sts from cable needle.
