US 6 / 4 mm or two sizes smaller than needle used to get gauge, 16” circular needle for ribbing
Gauge Using US 8 / 5mm needle, 17 sts and 26 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in k1 tbl, p1 pattern, knit in the round, after blocking.
Note: The finished circumference of your hat will be smaller than this gauge. The cables will pull in on the fabric, but will still allow for plenty of stretch.
