This PDF knitting pattern has full instructions to knit this gorgeous Winter Gnome/Gonk. He stands 34 cms high (13.5") to the top of his hat. The Gnome's body and hat is knitted in one piece with everything else knitted and then stitched on. For the eyes I have used a crochet chain, but a knitted chain would work just as well.
This pattern is written over 5 A4 Pages (including the front cover) and includes full knitting and making up instructions. The instructions are broken down row by row when shaping. The stitches used are stocking stitch and garter stitch. Therefore, I would say that this pattern is suitable for the intermediate knitter or a beginner who is confident using finer needles and dk yarn.
