The beret's cabled brim is worked back and forth first, then joined together to give a platform for the plaited crown which is worked bottom-up, in-the-round. Pattern is written in full with charts as adjuncts for those who prefer them. Rated as easy.
Mittens are knit first as a back and forth cabled cuff, which is then joined together to give a platform for the in-the-round, plaited glove.
