Winterfell Wrap

Winterfell is part of my Game of Thrones inspired pattern collection (other patterns so far include Arya Wrap, Weirwood Wrap and Wolfswood Throw).

I found myself envisioning what it might be like to need the utilitarian aspects of the handknits and furs for basic warmth, but to still want the artisan beauty of something handcrafted for daily use/wear. So, I picture wraps like Winterfell being worn by the ladies of House Stark to layer and ward off the cold that would have come with living in a stone fortress through long harsh winters.

Pattern is both written and charted, and instructions for optional belt are included.

Wrap is worked from short end to short end, with arm slits integrated into the cable pattern to create openings to make it easy to wear and more functional. If you don't want the arm slits, you can choose to skip that part of the instructions, and work those rows across all stitches.

Approximate finished size is 38" Wide by 82" long with fringe.
