Wintry Lake

’Wintry Lake’ is a modern and striking composition of bold intersecting cables that suggest the fracture lines in the surface of a frozen pond, as well as the crystalline structure of the ice. Yet this shawl is meltingly soft to the touch, as seen here in a lustrous blend of merino, silk, and camel.

’Wintry Lake’ has an asymmetrical but almost triangular shape with a built-in edge and is worked flat from the right tip to the left edge. The pattern has fully written instructions from cast on to bind off with stitch counts and there is also a chart for the repeats.
