Zen Garden Mosaic Square - Hamsa Hand

This pattern is for a mosaic crochet square that can be used in other types of projects, such as blankets, pillows, satchel bags, table mats, etc.

Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. I used yarn weight of 4 with a 5.5 hook, which creates a square of 13.5” x 13”. You will need approximately 4 oz of yarn total for this size.

There is some color switching in this project if you do the example image, which will be included in the instructions. The odd # rows include the background, hand color, and eye white & iris. The even # rows include the border, the blue squigglies in the background area, the black outlines, and the lotus in the center.

I have a helpful youtube video link in the pattern PDF to show how I do various color switching transitions, although it’s using a different pattern but the concepts are the same.
