Ziggy Dot Blanket US crochet terms

This is a bright and colourful pattern which uses several different stitches to create an assortment of interesting textures. There are contrasting bobbles arranged in chevrons which pop against the navy background, pretty raised 'berry' stitches, and striking zigzags made in V-stitch. The variety of the pattern makes it a pleasure to follow.

The blanket is made in DK weight yarn and with a 4mm hook. I used Stylecraft Special DK for my blanket, but any other DK yarn could be substituted.

The blanket is throw size, but the size can be adapted for smaller blankets. I have included easy to follow instructions on how to alter the starting chain.

I've also used this pattern to make a baby blanket. I have included details on its size and yarn the amounts needed at the end of the document.

The pattern includes a chart for the bobble stitch section.
